Orban: EU 'belongs to Europeans'

"The European Union belongs to Europeans and European citizens," Prime Minister Viktor Orban said in a video message ahead of an EU summit in Brussels on Friday. Concerning the summit, Orban said that it would focus on internal changes to the community's structure, and said that some of the proposed changes were "quite absurd". He mentioned a suggestion, for example, that "not only the number of European citizens but also migrants should be counted when distributing seats in the European Parliament, and called the idea "unacceptable".
