Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Tuesday congratulated Austrian People's Party chief Sebastian Kurz on his party's victory in Austria's recent parliamentary elections. "This result, which gives a clear governmental mandate for you and your party, clearly reflects that Austria's citizens support consistent policies resting on Christian values that will ensure stability for them," the PM's press office quoted Orban as saying. In his letter, Orban expressed hope that Hungary and Austria would continue their cooperation along the lines of those shared values to increase the region's competitiveness and build a European Union on strong nation states.
