Orange Poland tests 5G network in Warsaw

September 10th, 2019

Orange Poland, working with Ericsson Poland, is testing a trial network using 5G technology in Warsaw, said Orange President Jean-Francois Fallacher at a Tuesday press conference. "Together with Ericsson we are activating a test network in Warsaw. This is our biggest 5G test to date." said the Orange CEO. The network is being tested in the Warsaw districts of Ochota and Powisle, supported by nine base stations using a frequency of 3.4-3.8 GHz. Data transmission speeds are expected to reach 900 Mb/s. This is the third test to be carried out in Poland by Orange. The first test took place in Gliwice (southern Poland) in partnership with Huawei, and the second in Zakopane (southern Poland) with Ericsson.
