Opposition party Civic Platform (PO) filed a motion of no confidence on Thursday in Polish Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro over a recent affair regarding the use of hate speech against judges on the internet. The affair relates to the dissemination on social media of damaging material intended to discredit judges. PO leader Grzegorz Schetyna said the motion against Ziobro was related to the disclosure of "an organised group" of judges at the Ministry of Justice that was engaged in producing online hate speech. The ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party's spokesperson, Anita Czerwinska, said on Thursday the government will reject the no-confidence motion, which she described as "groundless." She accused the opposition MPs of "political theatre" and said the motion was an attempt to cover up all the problems the PO party is facing.
