The number of confirmed coronavirus infections in Poland increased by 396 since Sunday and reached 29,788 the Ministry of Health said on Monday morning. Another nine people have died, bringing the death toll to 1,256. Out of the total number of new infection cases, 188 were identified in the Silesia mining region of southern Poland, which so far has shown the highest number of coronavirus infections as coal companies continue to receive the results of large-scale coronavirus tests conducted on mine workers.
