The nominations for the top EU posts are a defeat of the Central and East European countries and the unconstructive approach of the Visegrad Four (V4, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary) during the EU summit also played part, Czech analysts have told CTK. They expect a difficult voting process regarding European Commission (EC) President nominee Ursula von der Leyen, who serves as German Defence Minister, in the European Parliament (EP) as the summit did not respect the Spitzenkandidat principle the EP supports.
