Following an inspection at a Trnava-based company, one Serbian citizen who had been staying illegally in Slovakia and eight Serbs working in Slovakia illegally were expelled from the country, police said on social media on Monday. "The case of these foreigners was resolved via an administrative expulsion from Slovakia and the Schengen area, and they've been banned from entering Slovakia for one year or three years," police said. The aim of the operation carried out by the Foreigners Police was to verify whether non-EU nationals had been granted residency in Slovakia. Along with the Labour Inspectorate and the Labour, Social Affairs and the Family Centre (UPSVaR), police officers looked into a total of 17 Serbs, four Romanians and 14 Slovak citizens.
