The third rotation of soldiers from NATO's Multinational Battalion Combat Group started their tours of duty on Friday in Bemowo Piskie in north-eastern Poland. Like their predecessors, the new units from the USA, UK, Romania and Croatia will spend six months in Poland. A ceremonial change-over of the NATO Multinational Combat Battle Group was held at the Orsysz training facility in Bemowo Piskie. In a letter addressed to the new NATO troops, Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak wrote that their presence is important not only in terms of the support they offer, but also because they hold the same values. "You have come to us to preserve the sense of security in this part of Europe, to underscore the importance of our cooperation, the full compatibility of interests. You are here to defend the Alliance. You have come ready to do battle if the need arises," Blaszczak wrote.
