New orders in industry up 8.5 pc Y/Y in July - stats office

New orders in Slovak industry grew by 8.5 percent year-on-year in July 2018 to stand at 3.652 billion euros, the Statistics Office reported on Friday. When seasonal influences are factored in, new industrial orders decreased by 5.1 percent month-on-month in July. Meanwhile, new orders for the first seven months of this year reached 29.854 billion euros, which represented annual growth of 3.9 percent.
