NATO eastern flank countries' MoDs to meet in Warsaw

Defence ministers of NATO eastern flank countries, the so-called Bucharest Nine, will meet in Warsaw on April 4-5, the Polish defence ministry's press office told PAP on Monday. The meeting, to be hosted by Polish MoD Mariusz Blaszczak, is to be attended by the defence ministers of Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania and Slovakia. The defence ministers "will discuss possibilities of joint contributions to the improvement of allied deterrence and defence in accordance with the 360 degree principle, that is in all strategic directions," the press office wrote in a statement.
