Morawiecki to attend EU summit starting on Thursday

June 19th, 2019

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will take part in an EU summit in Brussels on Thursday during which talks will be continued on who will fill the most important posts in EU institutions. The discussions on filling the most important positions in EU institutions were formally initiated during the summit held at the end of May. So far, however, member states have been unable to reach a consensus on this issue. European Council President Donald Tusk noted in his letter addressed to EU leaders on the eve of the summit that despite various EU interests there exists a political will to fill the most important positions by the end of June.
