Poland is open to any requests to extend Britain's leaving date from the European Union, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said after a meeting with the EU's chief Brexit negotiator Michel Barnier, in Warsaw on Friday. Morawiecki emphasised that "we are currently at a crucial moment, before the vote in the British Parliament regarding the draft EU exit agreement." Adoption of the agreement would be enough to delay Brexit until May 22, but would not meet the requirements for a ratification of the agreement. "In the event of a negative vote, should it occur, we are open to a motion to extend the process of Britain's exit from the EU," the Polish prime minister said.
