The Polish government intends to reduce the tax wedge for people who earn less, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Monday. Morawiecki was asked by public broadcaster Radio Gdansk, on Monday, if there was a chance for another tax reduction, in addition to zero Personal Income Tax (PIT) for people under 26 and the reduction of PIT from 18 to 17 percent. "Yes, by all means," he replied. "We want to reduce the tax wedge, especially for those who earn less than others, and have a fair tax system," he added.
