The government will set up a 5 billion zloty (EUR 1.2bn) fund for local roads this autumn, and an additional 2-3 billion zlotys will be allocated for this purpose in 2019, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Monday. He added that this amount will increase in the following years. The PM stressed that this is an "unprecedented programme for the countryside, Polish villages, for small towns and cities", thanks to which it will be possible to repair and build "significantly more" roads than ever before.
