The Slovak finance ministry has prepared a project aimed to increase the financial literacy of primary school children. The project was presented on Thursday by Finance Minister Ladislav Kamenicky. Surveys available to the ministry show that the financial literacy of Slovaks is at the level of 48 percent of the population. By comparison, Romania at the tail end of the ranking has 22 percent of financially literate inhabitants, while Denmark has 71 percent. "The indebtedness of the Slovak population is increasing and that is why this topic is all the more important," pointed out the minister.
