Minister to seek reinforcement of Czech contingent in Mali

Czech Defence Minister Karla Slechtova will propose a reinforcement of the Czech contingent operating within the EU mission in Mali from the current 50 troops to about 100, she told media after a ceremonial awarding of soldiers returning from Mali. Forty Czech officers recently returned from a half-year mission in Bamaku, the capital of Mali, where their task was to protect the mission headquarters and assist in training local soldiers.
