Defence Minister Peter Gajdos is willing to defend the procurement of 8x8 armoured military vehicles and their testing results if the relevant material is deliberated on by the Government, Defence Ministry spokesperson Danka Capakova said on Friday. In autumn 2018, the Defence Ministry announced it planned to procure 81 armoured military vehicles called Vydra by 2024. The production of the vehicles, developed and customised according to comprehensive provisos of the Slovak Armed Forces, was scheduled to take place largely in Slovakia.
