Mercedes-Benz lays cornerstone of HUF 3 bn training centre at base in Hungary

German carmaker Mercedes-Benz laid the cornerstone of a more than 3 billion forint (EUR 9.7m) training centre at its base in Kecskemet (C Hungary) on Thursday. Hungary's government is supporting the investment with a 622 million forint grant. Economy Minister Mihaly Varga said the new training centre as well as Mercedes-Benz's plan to build another plant at the base next year shows the company's long-term commitment to Kecskemet and Hungary.
