March 9th, 2020
The annual March of the Living commemorations in Poland, a tribute to those who perished in the Holocaust, has been postponed due to the coronavirus threat in Poland, and the organisers have yet to announce a new date. The march, which is usually held on Holocaust Remembrance Day, was planned to be held in Oswiecim, southern Poland, on April 21, 2020. The chair of the March of the Living, Shmuel Rosenman, said that the organisers are working on changes to the timetable and that there is a chance that the march will be staged later this year. In his view, guaranteeing the health and safety of the Holocaust survivors and participants are the main concern of the organisers.
