French President Emmanuel Macron, who started his visit to Poland on Monday, said that a new era was starting after Brexit and the European alliance must strengthen in order to be able to function in an uncertain world and respond to European challenges. At a joint press conference with Polish President Andrzej Duda, Macron noted that this is his first visit to Poland and the first European visit this year. "This is the time when the new European Commission starts work. A new era after Brexit is also beginning -- we must unite and strengthen our alliance so that we can operate in an uncertain world," Macron said. "We know what the European situation looks like and we must respond to European challenges."
