The Slovak Presidency of the Visegrad Four (V4) group has succeeded in improving the image of the institution only partly, Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak (a Smer-SD nominee) has told TASR in an interview. Slovakia is presiding over the V4 countries (V4: Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia) between July 1, 2018 and June 30, 2019. Lajcak added that the V4's image has been beaten-up mainly due to its stance on migration. "Rejecting quotas has been a good stance, but it has been presented with a rhetoric that is viewed by European partners as unacceptable," said Lajcak.
