Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak views the adoption of a 50-day ban on publishing opinion polls before elections in an extremely negative light, TASR learnt on Wednesday. "I'm under the impression that I've been robbed of my civil right of access to information," Lajcak said before the government session. He also voiced the hope that President Zuzana Caputova, who has also criticised the extended ban, would veto the bill. According to Lajcak, extending the moratorium on polls is "a rather short-sighted political expedient that only serves to undermine Slovakia's prestige".
