Outgoing US Ambassador to Slovakia Adam Sterling not only declared his interest in developing Slovak-American relations but also actively contributed towards spreading information about the potential to develop business, education and culture, Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak said on Wednesday. Lajcak received Sterling to mark the end of the ambassador's mission in Slovakia. "I'd especially like to stress your activities on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the signing of the Pittsburgh Agreement, when you along with your diplomats and colleagues set off on the 'America on Wheels' roadshow, during which you visited 26 Slovak towns and informed the public about the opportunities to develop bilateral relations," Lajcak told Sterling, awarding him the Gold Plaque of the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister.
