Lajcak: Danko's trip to Russia not in breach of any EU regulation or position

The visit to Russia by Parliamentary Chair Andrej Danko does not fly in the face of any regulation or EU position, Foreign and European Affairs Minister Miroslav Lajcak said on Tuesday about Danko's plans to hold talks with State Duma Chair Vyacheslav Volodin and attend the 2019 Moscow Victory Day Parade. Danko will meet Volodin, who is on the EU's sanction list, on Wednesday to discuss inter-parliamentary co-operation and the upcoming trade mission between the two countries.
