Speaker of Parliament Laszlo Kover discussed on Monday European Union enlargement and its prospects after the upcoming European parliamentary elections with Ivan Brajovic, his Montenegrin counterpart. At a joint press conference in Parliament, Kover said hopefully, given a "positive outcome" of the EP ballot, the focus would shift towards the Western Balkans and the region's EU integration would speed up. Montenegro would be first among the EU aspirants to join the bloc, he said, adding that the target date of 2025, however, was "unreasonably remote".
