Korcok to assume post of foreign minister from Sulik on Wednesday

Former ambassador to the US Ivan Korcok will officially assume the post of foreign and European affairs minister on Wednesday, more than two weeks after the appointment of Igor Matovic's cabinet, as he had to spend 14 days in mandatory self-isolation following his arrival from overseas, the ministry told TASR. Korcok, a nominee of Freedom and Solidarity, will assume the post from Economy Minister Richard Sulik, who has been acting as an interim foreign minister during Korcok's preventive quarantine related to the coronavirus.
