Hungary's economy will grow by 4 percent this year before slowing to 3.2 percent in 2020, according to a forecast released by economic research institute Kopint-Tarki on Thursday. The 2019 projection is a hairsbreadth below the 4.1 percent Kopint-Tarki forecast in December. The government's latest forecasts for GDP growth in 2019 and 2020 are 3.9 percent and 4 percent, respectively. Household consumption is set to grow by 4 percent this year, while investments are likely to grow by 7 percent. The institute expects nominal wage growth of 8.5 percent.
