At the July NATO summit, Slovakia will confirm its commitment to gradually increase its defence expenditures to reach 2 percent of GDP in 2024, as it forms a part of the Slovak delegation's basic positions, the government confirmed on Wednesday. The NATO summit will take place in Brussels between July 11-12. President Andrej Kiska will head the Slovak delegation including Defence Minister Peter Gajdos, Foreign Affairs Ministry's State Secretary Ivan Korcok, Chief of General Staff of the Slovak Armed Forces Daniel Zmeko and Slovak Ambassador to NATO Radovan Javorcik.
