The extraparliamentary Christian Democrats (KDH) announced on Tuesday that they would approach Igor Matovic's OLaNO, which is also predominantly a conservative grouping, to discuss a joint presidential candidate for next year's election. Presenting charity activist Maros Caucik as a possible contender for the spring race, KDH said that it was also ready to discuss further options, including a possible OLaNO candidate. However, OLaNO, which has the opposition's second-strongest caucus in parliament, has not presented a candidate yet, and declined to answer TASR's questions concerning KDH's call.
