Human Resources Minister Miklos Kasler discussed ways to strengthen Hungarian-Croatian cultural relations with Minister of Culture Nina Obuljen Korzinek on Monday. They signed an agreement on Hungarian-Croatian cultural cooperation. The ministers agreed that bilateral cultural relations were developing fast in the recent period in the areas of performing arts, heritage protection and the cultural education of ethnic minorities, Kasler told a joint press conference after the meeting. The new agreement expands a previous document on cooperation, he said. Kasler added that Croatia would take over the rotating presidency of the European Union from January next year and several joint events would be held during the presidency.
