Judiciary made mistake by keeping Taiwanese in custody - court

December 10th, 2019

The Czech judiciary has made a mistake by keeping the eight Taiwanese men, whose extradition China demands, in custody even after they were granted subsidiary protection for one year, the Constitutional Court (US) has ruled. The men have a chance of being released. The US has decided that the Prague courts will have to decide on the continuation of their custody anew. According to the US, their custody lost purpose since their extradition from the Czech Republic is not possible so far.
