Jourova confirmed as Czech candidate for EC

The government definitively approved Vera Jourova as the Czech candidate for the new European Commission today, Jourova has told journalists. In September, the candidates for the posts in the EC will undergo a hearing in the European Parliament, which will be approving them. Jourova will have the meeting with new EC President Ursula von der Leyen on Wednesday. In the past five years, Jourova was the European Commissioner for Justice, Consumers and Gender Equality.
