This year's report prepared by the Simon Wiesenthal Centre placed Poland in a high position as a country that has taken the necessary measures to enable the prosecution of Nazi war criminals, the Institute of National Remembrance has written. In this year's report presented by the head of Israel's Simon Wiesenthal Centre, Poland along with Italy were placed high in the listings, receiving 'note B' status, which is granted to nations that have taken the necessary measures to enable the prosecution of Nazi war criminals. The evaluation takes into account whether at least one conviction or an indictment has been carried out in the country during the review period.
