Slovakia's economy continues to grow at a relatively slower pace due to effects from abroad, with the country's GDP expected to increase by 2.2 percent in 2020, slightly less than the 2.3 percent rate recorded in 2019, the Finance Ministry's Institute for Finance Policy (IFP) said on Tuesday. Cooling has been noticed mainly in industry, which is largely export-oriented, while the labour market has still been resisting negative developments. The ongoing revival should reach its final stage towards the end of the current EU-funding period in 2023.
