Hungary trade surplus at EUR 37 m in August

Hungary had a 37 million euro trade surplus in August, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said in a first reading of data on Wednesday. The surplus was up 99 million euros from the same month a year earlier. Exports rose by 2.6 percent year-on-year to 8.141 billion euros. Imports were up 1.3 percent at 8.104 billion euros. Trade with other European Union member states accounted for about 80 percent of exports and 73 percent of imports.
