Hungary gross wages climb 10.4 pc in September

The average gross wage in Hungary rose by an annual 10.4 percent to 322,752 forints (EUR 1,003) in September, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Thursday. Net wages grew at the same pace as gross wages, also climbing 10.4 percent to 214,630 forints. KSH noted that wages have been boosted by high labour demand, a higher minimum wage and pay increases for workers at state-owned utilities companies.
