Well-known Slovak historian and writer Pavel Dvorak has died at the age of 81, his publishing house Rak announced on Friday. Dvorak wrote more than 20 books, thousands of articles on history and produced more than 100 TV and radio documentaries. He received an award for popularising history from the Slovak Academy of Sciences in 1994, and Egon Erwin Kisch Foundation presented him an international prize for non-fiction literature in 1994 and 2000.
