High Court dismisses Cistercian Order's forest ownership claim

The Vyssi Brod Cistercian Abbey is not eligible for restitution of 2,084 hectares of forests in south Bohemia, the spokeswoman of the Forests CR state company, which owns the forests, told CTK today, citing the High Court's verdict. The spokeswoman, Eva Jouklova, said the High Court in Prague dismissed the Cistercians' claim and confirmed Forests CR's ownership of the land in question in September.
