Healthcare spending reached over 36,500 crowns per head averagely in the Czech Republic in 2017, the largest share of the sum being paid from public health insurance, while people spent some 5,100 crowns per head, mainly for medicines, the Czech Statistical Office (CSU) said today. The average per-head healthcare spending was 5,000 crowns higher than in 2010. In 2017, a total of 387.4 billion crowns was spent on healthcare, including 252.2 billion covered by health insurers.
