The public finance deficit will for the first time drop below 1 percent next year, specifically to 0.83 percent of GDP, according to the draft public administration budget for 2018-2020 approved by the Cabinet at its regular session on Wednesday. The public finance deficit should further decrease to 0.1 percent of GDP in 2019 and Slovakia should achieve a balanced budget in 2020.
