Former Police Corps president Tibor Gaspar has filed a criminal complaint over the suspicion that the powers of a public official have been abused, according to TV JOJ's webpage Noviny.sk. Gaspar, who stepped down as advisor to Interior Minister Denisa Sakova on Thursday, filed the complaint in relation to the way in which the team investigating the murder of journalist Jan Kuciak and his girlfriend Martina Kusnirova has obtained and provided information regarding the murder. "I think that there are several things at odds with legal procedures, and in my view they are damaging the investigation itself but also specific people. So, the complaint is aimed at people who are acting in this way," said Gaspar, adding that he thinks someone might want to hinder the investigation or even manipulate it.
