Forro elected as new SMK chairman

Krisztian Forro was elected as the new chairman of the Party of Hungarian Community (SMK) at its congress on Saturday, TASR was told by SMK press secretary Robert Kralik on Monday. The party also elected three vice-chairs: Jozsef Berenyi, Ivan Farkas and Zoltan Cziprusz. "Now we're ready to unify Hungarian parties and other bodies, including civic ones dealing with politics. This mainly concerns five existing parties, with the most important ones those that appeal most to Hungarian voters," said Forro, adding that SMK will also hold talks with former governing party Most-Hid.
