Former ambassador to Russia running for European Parliament

Jaroslav Basta, a former Czech ambassador to Russia and Ukraine, will be on top of the list of candidates of the extra-parliamentary Security, Responsibility and Solidarity (BOS) party for the elections to the European Parliament, the BOS told journalists today. Basta will run as an independent candidate. The BOS was founded mainly by former career soldiers and members of security bodies in April 2017.
