First Czech to head largest English teachers' organisation

A Czech, Gabriela Kleckova, 46, was selected today as the head of the TESOL International Association, the world's largest professional organisation of English teachers, experts and linguists as of March 2021 for one year. Kleckova heads the Department of English of the Faculty of Education of the University of West Bohemia. TESOL International Association, based in the USA, brings together almost 13,000 members from more than 100 countries.
