First Czech cancer patient treated by gene therapy

The teaching hospital in Brno has used gene therapy against cancer for the first time for a Czech patient who was not helped by chemotherapy, hospital spokesman Pavel Zara told journalists on Friday. Thanks to this, he could go home before Christmas, Zara said, adding that this was the doctors' exceptional success.
