The Japanese drug favipiravir to be administered to COVID-19 patients arrived in Prague's General Teaching Hospital (VFN) today and the hospital will distribute it to other Czech healthcare facilities, VFN spokeswoman Marie Hermankova has told CTK. The hospital is also to receive a supply of remdesivir, an antiviral medicine developed against Ebola by a team headed by Czech Tomas Cihlar in the US Gilead firm, which will be used for the COVID-19 treatment as well, she added.
