The government's family aid programme 500 plus has had a positive impact on the professional activity of Poles, mainly women, the daily Dziennik - Gazeta Prawna said on Wednesday, citing the latest analyses of the Central Statistical Office (GUS). As reported by the paper, GUS asked 300,000 Poles how the fact of collecting benefits for children affected their professional life. Around 76,000 of them said that thanks to the governmental aid they found employment, and another 75,000 said they had started looking for a job. On the other hand, some 33,000 of them quit employment and 34,000 stopped looking for work.
