Police and Europol experts are set to testify at the trial of those accused of ordering and carrying out the murder of journalist Jan Kuciak and Martina Kusnirova on how they extracted the electronic communications of Marian K., the alleged instigator of the hit. Meanwhile, the prosecutor has proposed that the public should be prevented from listening to this testimony so that it does not find out about how the police proceed when investigating cyber-criminal activities. Both the defence and lawyers of the bereaved agreed to this. Marian K.'s chats via the Threema app were acquired by Europol and the police after Peter Toth, a witness in the case and former Slovak Secret Intelligence member, handed over Marian K.'s mobile phone as well as his other property.
