The European Parliament (EP) on Monday held a moment of silence for Slovak national Jozef Chovanec, who died in 2018 following a tussle with the police at Brussels South Charleroi Airport. MEPs did so at the call of EP head David Sassoli, who noted that several of his colleagues as well as ordinary citizens brought the case of Chovanec's death to his attention.
