EUR 2.2 billion budget surplus after April - Finance Ministry

May 28th, 2018

Poland's budget surplus after April 2018 amounted to PLN 9.3 billion (EUR 2.2 bln), the Finance Ministry announced in a press release on Monday. Finance Minister Teresa Czerwińska told a conference on Monday that the budget surplus recorded after April is only temporary and is a result of, among other factors, an advantageous situation on the labour market and the shifting of some spending to the second half of the year. "The surplus is only temporary," she said. "We will end the year with a deficit."
